Good fishing has continued at Badwell Ash Holiday Lodges despite the storms

This week’s fishing here at Badwell Ash Holiday Lodges has been a case of working around the high winds and rain. It hasn’t been that much fun sitting under a brolly in the wet, however we have had some interludes of better weather, and for those that have braved the elements the fishing has been steady with some fine fish caught. One of our guests celebrating his birthday with his son had a decent haul of bream and also a fine tench of around 4lbs.
Another guest had a decent week with carp up to low doubles, as well as good tench. And, after a week long hunt, we were particularly pleased that one of our fishers finally caught a mirror carp, around 8lbs, which had been the chief objective during his stay. Other anglers have enjoyed the rudd taking baits close to the surface and of course just being surrounded by the lovely nature here. The week’s best was a common carp of 12.5lbs.
