Tuck and Tackle ... our new Reception area and Shop

We are excited to introduce our new Reception and Honesty Shop at Badwell Ash Holiday Lodges, located in the old Coach House, just next to the car park. Full of local East Anglian treats, artisan produce and gift items as well as all the fishing tackle and bait that you might need, we’ve called it ‘Tuck and Tackle’.

If you’re feeling adventurous you’ll find information about the local area, and walking books and maps. Or if you prefer a more relaxing stay, we have a selection of novels, fishing books, and DVDs for you to borrow. If you are peckish, you’ll be tempted by our range of delicious local produce including honey, preserves, juice, sauces, fudge, crisps and chocolate perfect to enhance your stay or take home as gifts. We have locally made candles and soaps too. The more creative amongst you will enjoy the collection of works by local artists. We have now added a range of fabulous alcoholic drinks, all from the local area including Adnams beers, Giffords Hall Vineyard wines, and Suffolk Distillery gin. Cheers!

And, of course we have catered for the needs of our many anglers: there’s fishing tackle including floats, leads, hooks and feeders, and baits, all from leading brands such as Preston Innovations and Sonubaits.

Tuck and Tackle operates on an honesty basis: please record your purchases on the clipboard which is provided for each lodge. On the final evening of your stay or in the morning on your way out please come to the shop and we will take payment for your items.
